I really like this.
Not only is red my favorite color, but outside of Busch Stadium, seeing a Cardinal is a special treat.
I love it when I catch a glimpse of one before the buds appear on the trees. The flash of color against the bleakness of winter warms my heart everytime.
Oh YES... my dear cardinal...it may be the Indiana Bird (my birth state) & the Illinois Bird (my family state), but I have them everywhere i go on Long island here... this is MY bird :)!!
