February Ocean Views
Saturday we took a short trip to visit our twin fork to the south. It was a blustery, cold day with little relief from the steely overcast. The largely unpeopled beach was a simple canvas. Moderate waves rolled in as sand blasted through the air. I stepped out of the jeep and braved a few telephoto shots. Almost none were usable as the camera was difficult to steady in the buffeting gusts. I had more success shooting long distance from inside the jeep with the camera resting on the top edge of a halfway rolled down window, what I refer to as "car hunting". Even then we were rocking and only stabilization saved a few photos.
