Farmstands

I've just learned a new term, and I love it!  The word is Locavore.  A locavore is someone who eats food grown or produced locally.  The Locavore movement encourages consumers to buy from farmer's markets and/or produce your own.  The New American Oxford Dictionary chose locavore as it's word of the year for 2007.  It was coined by Jessica Prentice of San Francisco.  (Thanks to Wikipedia for this info.)  See July 17 blog for more farmstand photos
