This morning I gazed at the apple orchard as I drank my coffee. The sun had risen to about 20 degrees above the horizon and cast a lovely light upon the trees and barn. Finally the coffee started doing it's thing and I realized that I was just sitting there when I could be out in the cold taking a shot or two before the scene changed... the rest of my coffee could wait!

Absolutely stunning. What I like about these is the light. I recognize it, as the light is returning here and our landscape looks similar.
The last shot is my favorite , as it is so full of colours, despite the snow.
Stay warm.:)

How appropriate...

Perfect timing on the orchard photos. You caught it in just the right light. I love to look at snow photos when they belong to someone else. I am quite tired of our snow here in SW Colorado.... I'm so ready for something besides white and sparkle. Bring on those springtime blossoms and that green, green grass!
Yes, I do have a touch of those wintertime blahs.
Breathtaking and so serene. The blues, the yellows, the texture. Nice!
wow! the top two look like paintings. beautiful!
I love the barn too.
There's no denying that these scenes were photo worthy, and good for you for being at the right place at the right time! Picture #3 is postcard perfect, and almost makes me like snow. Okay, I admit, snow IS pretty. ~karen
Beautiful shots! Helen
Just lovely - but very glad the snow hasn't made it this far yet! Hope your coffee didn't get too cold xo
Beautiful! Looks like an adventure:-)
Beautiful winter sunrise shots. Loved the yellow glow of sunlight in the first image.
Winther wonderland! So beautiful.
Great series of shots, and wow I love the previous weeks, Mark:)
Simply stunning! The scenery of the orchard and the colors of the sky are just beautiful. Fantastic captures!
I like the last picture very much. The color really pops against the white snow.
I'm glad the blogger in you prevailed and went out to show us this beautiful scene.
Great shots, especially that row of trees. There's a lot of warmth in these winter scenes.
Great wintershots :)
glad you bid the coffee farewell for a few minutes and got outside when you did - beautiful morning sky! Great photos!

How can snow be so irritating to move around in, so freezing cold - and yet so very beautiful.
Beautiful collection of images celebrating the season and sky watch friday.

More jigsaws! Am I obsessing? Awesome photos! I love the morning and evening light for winter pictures.
OMG, you take wonderful photos that are so beautiful but the first two may be my favorites of all time.
Has anyone used stunning yet? We will try that adjective.
Lovely winter shots, and it sure looks cold ;)
they look like Christmas cards .... so bright colours !!
The apple orchard in snow -amazingly beautiful! Van Gogh painted the apple orchards several times, and for the Dutch (I'm one) they are the favorite paintings.
