Beautiful shots. Lovely formations by salt and cold.
Oh! How beautiful it is! And what wonderful shots you have! Yes, I can see how it could/would put your dreams of summer on hold. It's sometimes amazing all the places we can find beauty if we pause long enough to look! Have a great week, Mark!

Beautiful shots. Thanks for sharing. That salt makes the water just glisten. Helen
Gorgeous shots Mark, the salt water does create some great formations. Sights like this can make us forget about summer for awhile.
I have been having trouble lately posting comments on some blogs, hopefully blogger has it fixed now.

Beautiful photos of the water, salt and cold - this entire blog is lovely.
Beautiful place and shots:-)
Great shots. Cold weather seems to be the name of the game. We saw really neat ice on the rocks along Lake Eufala OK a few days ago.
Those photos are exquisite - I think there is am embroidery waiting to be done for each one!
Mark, I especially like the images' blending of the frozen and the melted, as the crystals form in very soft undulating shapes. The closeups were informative. I was wondering what the air temperature was when you took these shots.
One of the reasons I love winter. It amazes me how snow and ice can transform the things we see everyday into new works of art.
Great pics!
Air temperature was in the low twenties but with direct sun that was capable of some melt in the lee.
wow those formations are beautiful! and its so interesting to see ice and sand at the same time. just goes to show you how cold it is over there!

I would say that the pic of that big rock was taken somewhere on the North Shore of Long Island Sound. I use to see something like that when I launched a boat by a ramp that was at a place called Truman Beach back in the later 1960s.
