New Suffolk Morning

At about 6 AM this morning I heard a low drone begin to cover the sounds of the birds. I looked about and finally found the cause as a small motor boat rounded Robins Island and came into view. It was filled (overloaded) with fishermen returning from night fishing. This time of year they could have bluefish, perhaps a keeper striped bass and flounder that worked their way in through the Shinnecock Canal. Over at the point a heron remained motionless waiting for breakfast to come close enough. The Peconic Bay was glassy smooth and gave nice reflection to the moored sailboats masts. It was a perfect morning to photograph water and the scenes upon it.
