The Quiet of Winter

 ...

All is still.  Now and then a fresh breath of wind... here, then gone again.  The call of a distant gull, the whisper of a wavelet reaching the sand is heightened by the surrounding silence.  Peace, perfect peace.

Did you know that the congregation sang "Peace, perfect peace" at Great Grandma Stover's funeral? I found the title meaningful, thanks.

Very serene. Some of these could belong to any season.
The colour of the ocean reminds me of the sea in St Tropez.

Beautiful and it makes me miss Maine. I can't wait to trundle over the ledges and lie on my back watching the clear, star speckled night sky.

I came to you via my friend Zuzana at Protege.

I'll return again.

Love these pics -especially the one with the stairs going down to the beach! A very familiar sight for me, about 20 min. away (in California, that is).
